Soci\u00e9t\u00e9 BIC and the Ecole Nationale Sup\u00e9rieure d\u2019Arts de Paris-Cergy are pleased to announce the fourth edition of the BIC\u00ae Prize for Contemporary Creation for the ENSAPC. This year, the CRR 93 is pleased to host the exhibition, in partnership with Ygrec and the Visual Arts Pole of the Cultural Affairs Department of Aubervilliers.<\/p>\n

The BIC\u00ae prize aims to encourage contemporary creation by highlighting an emerging artist studying at ENSAPC. It offers all students the opportunity to explore potential artistic relationships and imaginary worlds based on BIC\u00ae products through a process of appropriation and embezzlement. By supporting the field of experimental art education, which is committed to issues of diversity and equality, the prize aims to reward a production selected by a jury of art world professionals composed of :<\/p>\n

Carole Benzaken (artist and teacher at ENSAPC), Marie-Charlotte Bich (BIC Collection), Florence & Daniel Guerlain (collectors), Sandra Heged\u00fcs (founder of SAM Art Projects), Herv\u00e9 Mikaeloff (curator and contemporary art consultant), Marie-Ange Moulonguet (member of the artistic committee of the Marcel Duchamp Prize, member of the Paris art selection committee and consultant) and Carine Tissot (director of Drawing Now Art Fair).<\/p>\n

The exhibition brings together, on the one hand, the works of the 2018 winner Araks Sahakyan and Camille Joffroy who participated in last year\u2019s award and, on the other hand, the productions of the sixteen students (first to fifth year) participating in the 2019 prize: Morgane Baffier, Deniz Doruk, Diana Faksh, Sirine Germani, Carla Gueye, Selma Hyka, Cl\u00e9mence Le Boucher d\u2019H\u00e9rouville, H\u00e9l\u00e8ne Marcon, Amine Merhoum, Mathis Philippe, Mickey Pujolar, Vincent Rasclard, Victorien Soufflet, Fauve Tintigner, Alexandre Veretennikov, Arthur Yaya. An ensemble of drawings, sculptures, videos, installations and performances is deployed in the building of the Aubervilliers Conservatory, in dialogue with its architecture.<\/p>\n

For the 4th edition of the Bic Prize for Contemporary Creation for the ENSAPC (Ecole nationale sup\u00e9rieure d\u2019arts de Paris-Cergy), Vincent Rasclard was awarded the prize for his monochrome black work \u201cTeilapubel\u201d. The artist has cumulated, gathered in a thick layer and made the ink of the black Bic Cristal pen reflect on this 4 x 37 cm panel. It evokes a memory of schoolchildren\u2019s kits, letters, written words, spread out on a single support.<\/p>\n
