Taking as a starting point the book of Fran\u00e7ois Mauriac <em>Maltaverne (Un adolescent\u00a0d\u2019autrefois<\/em>), they will set out on the road to this place to find elements of reflection. Combining research and artistic experimentation, her works \u2013 be they sculptural, video or photographic \u2013 explore the survivals and ghosts of colonialism and post-colonialism in contemporary society. Drawing on the richness and cultural diversity of Aubervilliers but also on its ongoing changes, \u2018Where Do We Go From Here\u2019 aims to transform the exhibition space into a place of reconnection: to oneself, to others and to the urban space as it exists. While the first collage is spliced onto on a photograph of the street taken near the panel, the other versions are painted onto clothes that have been stretched on a frame. In the East as well as in the West, we follow the elements of her narrative step by step. Within the project she has been leading since 2011, &#8220;Pour une th\u00e8se vivante (For a living thesis)&#8221;, she implements a research embodied in &#8220;the doing&#8221;. Questioning the performative act, the history of practice and performance understood in the broad sense as the exercise of a given activity within a social body or a profession, &#8220;Pour une th\u00e8se vivante&#8221; attempts to go beyond the binary opposition of writing\/plastic creation, research\/performance. The exhibition space is transformed into a place of experimental research, towards the writing of a gesture. Various meetings and events will be organized at Ygrec-ENSAPC during the project.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;This moment of residency at the YGREC-ENSAPC art center is a creative elaboration of what has been here from the beginning: an act of sharing moving the field of know-how. First is an installation entitled\u00a0<em>Go\u00fbt m\u00e9tal<\/em> composed of bouquets, images and infusions. The infusions which are meant to be drunk (and visual of which creates a sculptural effect), let us glimpse into the future landscape of Aubervilliers. Each recipe includes a mix between the local plants and others which have been accommodated because of the climate change.\u00a0In the second window display, the artists present two videos taken from a larger project entitled\u00a0<em>Extra tropical<\/em>. This project brings together several short videos made in European port cities.
