Filmmaker and visual artist Elisabeth Subrin joined ENSAPC for the second semester of 2019/20.

On Wednesday, March 4 at 13h30, she will present works in film, video art and installation, and discuss her practice, including her current project while at ENSAPC and in Paris on a Fulbright Fellowship. Based in New York, her work has been the subject of solo presentations at The Museum of Modern Art, New York, The Vienna Viennale, The Institute of Contemporary Art, London, VOLTA, The Sundance Institute, and in a retrospective at Sue Scott Gallery, New York.

Working across experimental and narrative forms and often engaging practices of recreation and reenactment, her projects seek intersections between history and subjectivity, investigating the nature  of psychological « disorder, » the legacy of feminism, and the psychic impact of recent social and political history.
